"BANT" (stands for Budget, Authority, Need, Timeline) is a sales tool for the initial lead qualification. The sales rep tries to find out whether... - money would realistically be available for the product/service (Budget) - we are talking to the right contact person (best case: decision maker) (Authority) - there is a current need for our product/service (Need) - it fits into the timeline to discuss with each other in more detail (Timeline) If all 4 criteria can be answered positively, the sales process will continue.
